Las Vegas high rise condominiums are are being planned for the Palazzo Las Vegas project by Las Vegas Sands Corporation. Operator of the Sands Expo and Las Vegas Convention Center have received approval from Clark County to add a Las Vegas high rise tower to its plans for the $1.8 billion Palazzo Resort next to the Venetian Hotel.

The Las Vegas condominiums addition to the commercial real estate project approved Wednesday is a 632-foot high rise tower to be built atop an already approved building that is planned to house an 85,000-sf Barney’s retail store among others. Rising at the corner of Spring Mountain Road and Las Vegas Boulevard, the Palazzo commercial real estate includes the 450,000-sf Shops at the Palazzo Resort Hotel and an 1,800-seat theater, and a 3,000-room Las Vegas hotel.

Las Vegas Sands Corporation original application called for 849 condo units, but changed plans for the condominium tower would contain 370 ultra-luxury units.

The County Commission’s approval, contingent upon a formal development agreement, granted Las Vegas Sands several code variances. Sands received breaks on requirements for the setback and parking for the upper portions of the tower, according to county planning.

Las Vegas Sands is following in the footsteps of MGM Mirage Project CityCenter and Trump Tower Las Vegas, both of which have found plenty of buyers for their Las Vegas high-rise condos product overlooking the Strip.
